A. Solar Panels
Solar panels, or solar modules as they are sometimes called, are typically installed on the roof. These solar panels are made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which convert sunlight into direct current (DC) power.
The DC power from the solar panels is sent to an inverter, where it is converted into alternating current (AC) power, or standard electrical current used in your home.
C. Electrical Panel
AC power travels from the inverter to the electrical panel, often called a breaker box. This power is now ready to use in your home.
D. Utility Meter
The utility meter continually measures your electrical supply; when your solar power system produces more power than you need, the meter literally spins backward, accumulating credits with the utility company that will offset your next bill.
E. Utility Grid
Your home remains connected to the utility grid to supply you with electricity when you need more power than your solar power system has produced, such as at night.
Solar Production Monitoring
It allows you and JBL Solar to continuously monitor energy production and make sure your system is running smoothly. If production levels drop below normal, we will alert you and help remedy the situation.
Energy Consumption Monitoring
It continually monitors your home's electricity usage. With a clear picture of your electricity patterns you can better manage your energy consumption and save money.

Custom Designs for Your Home
We know every home is different. Our in-house engineering team will custom design your solar system based on your home's architecture and your family's projected electrical needs.
JBL engineers will complete a structural analysis of your home and produce a full set of structural design and electrical blueprints. Your design plans will also contain the specification sheets for all system components, such as the solar panels and inverters for your project. We will then submit your approved plans to your local city government to obtain the necessary building permits.
Quality Solar Panel Installation
JBL's professional teams of solar installers have extensive experience and will build your system to our high standards. We have installed over 2,000 of residential solar power systems for customers. We use only the highest quality solar panels, equipment and hardware.
Once we complete construction, we will schedule an inspection with your local building department to confirm that the installation conforms to local regulations and with the utility company for connection to the power grid.
JBL has a full in-house Customer Care team that will plan out your installation and coordinate all team members, including the engineering design team, installation crew and external city and utility inspectors. They will keep you apprised of project status every step of the way.

Dramatically Reduce Your Utility Bill
When you begin to generate your own solar power, your utility bill can drop significantly. How much you can save will depend on the size of your solar system and your family's electricity usage. You will still draw some power from the utility grid, but at a lower-priced rate tier. We will design a system that's right for your home and determine the optimal utility rate structure for your remaining energy needs.
Sell Excess Power to the Utility Company
When your solar system generates more electricity than your home can immediately use, your excess power flows back to the utility grid and your meter literally spins backward.
Your solar system produces the most electricity during the middle of the day, during "peak" hours when the utility rates are at their highest. This is to your advantage, because you can sell excess electricity at high peak rates in the afternoon, and buy electricity back at lower "off-peak" rates at night. You buy low and sell high!
This is referred to as "net metering" and can reduce your utility bill even further.
